So it has all happened now, The Namm Show was on last week and there have been more exciting announcements made so let’s have a look at what you might see in the near future in Waltons
Fender has introduced more models in addition to their “Road Worn Series”
here they are:
Fender Ritchie Blackmore Stratocaster, based on his favorite ’70s model and featuring a maple neck with a graduated scalloped rosewood fretboard, Seymour Duncan® Quarter Pound Flat™ pickups, and ’70s-style “F” tuners and even a “dummy” Middle pickups.
Iron Maiden Signature Series, yes they thought of the Heavy rockers for a change with the Dave Murray’s Stratocaster, based on his own ’57 Stratocaster, previously owned by late, great Free guitarist Paul Kossoff. The Dave Murray Stratocaster guitar boasts a supercharged HSH configuration—a DiMarzio® PAF® 36th Anniversary DP103 neck pickup, a DiMarzio® Super Distortion® DP100 bridge pickup and a Fender vintage-style middle pickup. Other features include a lacquer finish, and a flatter soft V-shaped neck with satin back.
Also part of the collection is Steve Harris PBass, featuring a really cool Royal Blue Metallic sparkle finish, with a chromed mirror pickguard, alder body, vintage-tint one-piece maple neck and fingerboard with 20 medium-jumbo frets, a Badass® II bridge, Seymour Duncan® Basslines SPB-1 split-coil Precision Bass pickup, chrome hardware, Steve Harris signature Rotosound® custom flat-wound strings and Harris’s signature on the back of the headstock
And last but not least Fender is also introducing a new version of the Eric Johnson Strat with a bound round-laminated 12”-radius rosewood fretboard this time and available in four brand-new finish options, three of which (Lucerne Aqua Firemist, Tropical Turquoise and Medium Palomino Metallic) are exclusive to this model.
After the success of their new range of affordable amplifiers last year (Vintage Modified Super Champ xd and Vibro Champ) Fender is now adding two more models the Bandmaster and the Deluxe VM,
Between the newly announced models were the following:
the 50th anniversary Les Paul 59 which has finally been unveiled, the Les Paul Junior that has been reintroduced in the USA collection
, there was also a mysterious Jimmy Page Les Paul “2” but no information have been released yet and a Jeff Beck Les Paul. “The Kristofferson,” an accurately detailed recreation of Kris Kristofferson’s beloved Southern Jumbo developed by Gibson Acoustic and a new SG model from Gibson Custom:The Doors’ Robby Krieger own signature.
