Primary and Post-primary schools who wish to participate in the 2012-13 Competition! Don’t forget to register your interest and describe your school for broadcast on RTE Lyric fm by FRIDAY, 7 DECEMBER 2012.
We hope Primary and Post-primary schools around the country are working hard on their entries for our Music for Schools Competition and, if you haven’t begun yet, it’s still not too late to start. €10,000 worth of prizes to be won, with two first prizes to the value of €3,000! All schools interested in participating in this year’s Competition should register their interest by email to musicforschools@waltonsmusic.ie. (This does not necessarily oblige your school to enter but is important to help us determine the overall number of entries.) If you accompany your expression of interest with a CD or mp3 spoken recording (no more than 2 minutes long), relating what music means to your school, your aspirations for developing music education at your school and what you will do with a Waltons Music for Schools Prize if your school wins one, your recording may be broadcast on RTÉ lyric fm between December and the final entry deadline Friday, 1st February, 2013.
