We are happy to announce that entries for the first annual Waltons Music for Schools Competition are now in, and we are ready to proceed to the judging phase. We received a diverse range of entries from primary and post-primary schools all around the country (Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Sligo, Tipperary, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow). We’d like to thank the students, teachers, principals and parents of the schools who participated and wish you all the very best for the Competition. Finalists will be announced on Friday, 23 March by Liz Nolan on RTE lyric fm’s Classic Drive programme, and will perform in a concert and prize-giving hosted by Liz at the National Concert Hall on Monday, 16 April at 1 pm!
